What documents do I need upon applying for the exam?
You need the following documents to hand:
Debit/Credit Card
Three completed Structured
Reference Forms
Curriculum Vitae
Operative Logbook
Photocopy of Photographic Identification
How much would the exam cost?
The examination fee is £1904 (£552 for section 1, and £1352 for Section 2).
The full amount (£1904) is payable at the time of online application and is credited to the candidate’s individual fee account.
If I fail to pass Section 1, do I have to pay more money to re-sit?
No. The fee for re-sitting Section 1 would be deducted from your individual fee account.
When will I know if I am eligible to sit the exam?
You will be informed by e-mail within 3 weeks of the closing date
If I am not granted eligibility to sit the exam, will I get a full refund of the exam fee?
Yes. The full exam fee (£1904) will be refunded to your bank account
When will I find out the result of my exam?
The results will be available within 4 weeks of the date of the examination.
How will I find out the result of my exam?
The result will be disseminated by a formal letter by e-mail from the Board Chair.
This will include a breakdown of your performance with confirmation that you have either achieved the required standard in Section 1 to proceed to Section 2 or not.
Results can also be viewed on your Personal Profile created on registration and application for the exam.
